1. INTRODUCTION
This Privacy Policy explains how Studio Sibyl LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares your personal information when you use the Makers’ Guild platform at makersguild.ai (“Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, full name, profile image (if provided by your identity provider), unique identifier from your identity provider (e.g., Google ID), and password in hashed form if you register with email and password. We also collect session identifiers and authentication data necessary to maintain your session.
2.2 Usage and Device Information
We automatically collect device type, operating system, browser type, IP address (city/region level only), page interactions, referral URLs, and performance data.
2.3 Analytics Data
We use analytics tools to collect anonymized, aggregated usage data, including which style modifiers are popular, general browsing patterns, feature usage, and session duration. This data is not tied to individual user accounts.
2.4 Membership and Payment Information
We collect membership type, status, and transaction history. Payment information is processed by third-party payment processors (Polar and Stripe). We do not store complete credit card numbers or sensitive payment credentials.
2.5 Discord Information
If you choose to connect your Discord account to your Makers’ Guild membership (when this feature becomes available), we may collect your Discord username, user ID, and avatar for membership verification and role syncing. Connecting your Discord account is optional.
2.6 Communications
When you contact us, we collect email correspondence, support tickets, and feedback.
3. COOKIES
We use essential cookies for session management and authentication, and analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with the website in aggregate. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may impair your ability to use the Service.
4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use collected information to:
- Create and authenticate your account
- Manage your membership and access to the style modifier library
- Process payments and manage billing
- Analyze anonymized usage patterns to understand content popularity and improve the Service
- Identify and fix bugs or technical issues
- Enforce our Terms of Service, detect abuse, and comply with legal obligations
- Send transactional emails (account confirmations, receipts, policy updates)
- Respond to support requests
- Send marketing emails about Makers’ Guild (you may opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us)
5. INFORMATION SHARING
We share your information only in limited circumstances.
5.1 Service Providers
We use third-party providers for authentication, payment processing, analytics, community features (Discord, when available), email communications, and hosting. These providers receive only the data necessary to perform their services.
5.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information when required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, to protect the rights or safety of our users or the public, or to detect and prevent fraud or illegal activity.
5.3 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity. We will notify you via email of any such change.
5.4 No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you personally.
6. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations.
While your account is active, account information is retained alongside your membership. Payment and transaction records are retained as required by financial and tax regulations. Usage analytics are retained only in anonymized, aggregated form.
When you delete your account, account information and authentication data are deleted immediately. Some data may be retained longer if required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention. Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
Accounts inactive for 12 to 24 months may be terminated with prior email notification, as described in our Terms of Service.
7. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information; request a portable copy of your data; object to certain processing activities; and withdraw consent.
Marketing Opt-Out: You may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. This does not affect transactional emails.
EU/UK (GDPR): You have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, opt out of sale (we do not sell your data), and non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

9. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Makers’ Guild is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users between 13 and 18 may only use the Service with parental or guardian consent and supervision, as described in our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at contact@makersguild.ai and we will promptly delete it.
10. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. When transferring data internationally, we implement appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses and ensuring third-party processors provide adequate protection. For EU/UK users, we rely on approved transfer mechanisms.

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and notify you via email at least 30 days before changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the changes.
